gibson22varcelone 2008-03-24 23:29:44 I absolutely and enthusiastically agree with you. I did not mean to imply that harder styles are better. I know through experience that a softer style (I mean T'ai Chi) can improve balance, health, and even posture. And you can do four hours? Wow...I am almost completely exhausted after one hour. The great thing though is that Chen Man Ching says that five minutes upon waking and five minutes before sleeping is effective enough for great health. But, I'd like to be able to last four hours :) __________________________________________________
MISTERWHITE11 2008-03-24 11:40:08 Gibson: It is essential that anyone practicing external martial arts also practice a soft style too. Otherwise, energy dispersion will kill you at a very young age. There are additional benefits to be had by the young MA practicing the soft side. If you ONLY practice the hard side, you will remain appallingly weak, lacking a root, and your mind will freeze when in combat I would recommend practicing 4 hours of soft for every hour of hard. If not, you will not reach your potential and life short __________________________________________________
littlecannon 2008-03-12 12:42:05 It's white crane kung fu. It's internal like Baugazhang, Taijiquan and Xingyiquan. Said to have been created after watching a Crane fight. __________________________________________________ |
