To quiet a whistle, here's a simple trick: Stick a small paper clip in fipple so that it disrupts the airflow between where the air comes out of the windway and the edge of the blade.

This is great, I've actually managed to (almost) learn it in a couple of days of hard work, still have trouble in the C section ornaments, but I'm working it out. This may seem unrelated, but I could really use some good advice, as I practice in my bedroom, going to the high Gs tends to piss off my flatmate. What are good ways to keep the sound down a bit? Any suggestion appreciated Other than that, great job on teaching this tune, I'm having a hell of a time learning with you. Thanks Michael!
