Romak 3 - PSL first time firing

Description: This is my new kit build of a Romak 3 - PSL sniper rifle. Its a Romanian sniper rifle that uses the 7.62x54R round in an extended AK47 receiver. The 7.62x54R round is the same round that the Russians used in WW2 against the Germans. This is a build that I made over the last couple of weeks. I still need to refinish the metal so that it looks better. I did have a jam towards the end of the film but thats attributed to the fact that this is a brand new gun and not broken in yet. More info here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Romak-3 The gun is very loud! I need a scope now. This rifle is similar to the Dragunov but it is NOT one but uses the same round and looks like it. I wonder if it could be bump fired?

beavermatic ::: Favorites I've done some nuisance animal cleanup in my area with this rifle... flawless and insanely accurate... made me happy I didn't waste another $2000 on a actual SVD Dragunov, as these PSL's are easier to clean, more widely available (and parts), and a bit more accurate in my own opinion. great rifles! 07-10-01 19:34:21 __________________________________________________

bobotech ::: Favorites It hasn't jammed since that day. I took it home, discovered that there wasn't a tad enough clearance between the lower rail and the magazine. Milled off a tiny bit on the lower side of the rail and chamfered it and it runs like a raped kitten. 07-08-21 21:22:06 __________________________________________________

kminton327 ::: Favorites they are very asccurate for a semi auto rifle. i have a type 85 scope on mine and it shoots very good at the 300 yard range i went to last weekend. it does not jam at all and is the easist rifle to maintain that i have ever owned. and as far as an ar15 is concerned, i would say that this romak is allot more reliable, but i had experiences with m16a2 while i was in the military jamming under perfect conditions. 07-07-07 14:57:31 __________________________________________________
