gk891 ::: Favorites A lot of B/K's free dances (except maybe their 1999 FD), they consist mainly of side by side or hand to hand skating, especially this one. I don't think they had the abilities to handle difficult content from within complex handholds. If they actually could perform difficult programs with great power and athleticism, I'd agree that they did have great 'skating tech and ability' as you say but I've never seen them pull it off and so I flat-out disagree with you. 07-08-25 23:16:42 _____________________________________________________

If they actually did Irish dancing and understood the complexity of it they would realise how ridiculous thats is. But they don't know any better so Im not gonna hold it against them. PrincessLeia716 ::: Favorites Just because something has to do with Irish dance, everyone automatically labels it "Riverdance", but Irish dance is SO much more. Take it from someone who knows firsthand, as I have been Irish dancing since I was four. I also hate the sterotype of the leg swinging over. Yes, that is done in Irish dance, but not sloppily like everyone else does it. Also, it's done up then down, not going back and forth like a pendulum. Djabenusiri ::: Favorites They wanted to keep it more of a skating routine, but still wanted bits of dance in there. They aren't Irish dancers, they never were, you can't expect the real thing out their from a couple of non-dancers. They were, however, helped by Colin Dunne with this.
